Experiance
Businesses I have been key in founding and leading:
Yazaroo: Digital Agency, Founder (2015–Present)
I founded Yazaroo on 15th August 2015, when I pitched the idea for a brand agency to a panel of investors at the Prince’s Trust (King’s Trust). They agreed to fund my business with a small loan, and Yazaroo started building brands and websites. We now have over 250 clients, and have worked for Natural England, Kia, University of Surrey, British Association of Landscape Industries, and many, many more. This has given me insights into the inner workings, marketing strategies, and profitability of 100s of companies and organisations, large and small.
Comus: Event Ticketing Platform, Co-Founder (2025–Present)
I co-founded Comus with Alex Clarke in 2025, having previously developed an idea around a payment model in Q4 of 2024. We developed a strategy that a ticketing and event management platform would offer the greatest potential for our chosen solution. We have now built a platform that is active and regularly onboarding new event organisers.
The Fifth: Coffee Marketplace, Head of Brand (2025–Present)
I was approached in Q1 2025 by Co-Founders Anthony Tuite and Andrew Powell about creating a brand and designing a website for their coffee marketplace concept. They had recruited the Glass House Project to develop the platform. Based on the team assembled, it was an obvious opportunity, and I joined the company as a shareholder.
Kani.House: Bespoke Garden Buildings, Co-Founder (2018–2025)
I co-founded Kani.House with Neil Philipson, in 2018. I created the brand and marketing strategy, Neil built the buildings. This worked very well but we closed it in 2025. Read why here.
Education
Fine Art, BA (Hons) Contemporary Critical Practice, UCA (2007–2010)
The best thing about art school is being given a dedicated studio space for three years with a group of like-minded creative people and being left to build and explore. Nothing off limits, everything up for debate: break things, challenge ideas, debate and critique.
Other
Prince’s Trust (King’s Trust) Digital Clinics 2017 – 2019
I ran regular digital marketing clinics for the Prince’s Trust in London. We stopped due to the pandemic.
Explorer Scout Leader 2014 – 2019
I ran the Hybrid Explorer Scout Group in Ash. I joined to prevent the group from being closed down. It’s still going today 🙂
Parish Councilor for Ash 2018 – 2021
My brief foray into local politics before deciding it was a talking shop and a waste of time.
Topic of Cancer, Trustee 01/2021 – 10/2021
Fundraising for the cancer research facility in Surrey Research Park. I left after my friend and Chair of Trustees, Kim Ronaldson, sadly died.
