Paintings

I'm interested in reduction. Replacing background imagery with a single symbolic vivid color, combined with a figure suggests a narrative without being prescriptive. I make every effort to emphasise the use of ink by adding drips as I want to draw attention to the fast immediate nature of producing paintings in this way. Its what gives them energy and makes them feel fleeting and more vibrant.
